Windjammer Restaurant

Windjammer, Easter menu

Windjammer Restaurant, 1975

This menu from The Windjammer Restaurant shows an ornate decorated Easter egg surrounded by spring flowers. There are many symbols associated with Easter; Easter eggs, bunnies, baskets, and candy are such an ingrained part of our contemporary Easter celebrations. Traditions such as the White House Easter Egg Roll, decorating eggs, and eating chocolate bunnies all have become Easter traditions in the United States. In fact, over 90 million chocolate bunnies are made for Easter each year. Although this menu doesn't have chocolate bunnies on it, there are even better desserts such as hot baked Indian pudding, butterscotch pudding, and hot apple pie.
