The McAllister Towing and Transportation Company 1898 tug “Mathilda” is being put onto its new berth at the Hudson River Maritime Museum in 1983 by the Century Crane after traveling up from New York City on the barge. The newer McAllister tug, on the right, brought the crane barge and “Mathilda” to Kingston, NY. Note the barge’s tilting towards the shoreline from the weight of “Mathilda”. HRMM Collection
